Position Summary: This position is to perform general housekeeping/custodian and light maintenance work in the care of the Union and Fannin County Library buildings. This position also performs recurring tasks in accordance with established practices and cleaning schedules.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Sweeps, mops, and vacuums floor surfaces; spot cleans carpeted areas.
• Cleans and sanitizes restroom areas, fixtures, and water fountains; replenishes paper supplies and soap.
• Cleans windows, walls, blinds and light fixtures; dust desks, ledges, windowsills, and other fixtures.
• Empties trash receptacles and deposits collected refuse in proper receptacles.
• Assumes additional responsibilities and performs additional tasks as directed.
• Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisor, staff and the public.

Requirements & Education
● High School Diploma or equivalent
● Experience in janitorial service field is preferred

Mountain Regional Library System

Position Summary: The Public Services Specialist will provide quality customer service, assistance and information related to library services, fees, procedures, or other issues necessary to complete the daily operations of the Library. This position will require a focus on assistance with library programming for all ages.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Delivery of quality customer service, greeting the public in a welcoming, professional manner is essential
- Assists the Branch Manager with library programs and program preparations
- Understand and perform circulation operations for all library materials
- Assist the public in locating, selecting, and using resources
- Assumes additional responsibilities and performs additional tasks as directed.
- Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisor, staff and the public.
